To help overcome a growing disconnect and to help enlighten voters, iShapePolicy was created in November 2011 by citizens for citizens. We are a leading Political Service Provider (PSP), dedicated to serving our members with the most comprehensive suite of election tools, communication channels and voter data available. Our goal is simple; we aim to empower citizens with a greater understanding of the political landscape around them.
Through iShapePolicy’s iElectTM application, members are able to find their ideal candidate across an array of political elections. Importantly, the suggested matches are based on an alignment of common beliefs shared by the voter and candidate on key political issues.
Using a nonpartisan and objective approach, iShapePolicy combines carefully conducted research on candidates with our proprietary matching engine to ensure a high degree of accuracy. The result provides voters with an ability to search across vetted candidates from different political parties who are running for a specific elected position and returns matches based on a weighted score. Voters are able to compare and assess the underlying information used to score their matches and are encouraged to further learn about the candidates with direct access to their campaign websites, Wikipedia and social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
In addition, members are able to access current and historical information on candidates, news & analysis, polls & opinions and voter statistics. Most importantly, they can participate in an election with the confidence that they are voting for their ideal candidate!
